Alis Volat Propriis

Three simple words.  Alis Volat Propriis.  If you don't know what these words mean, you're missing out.  To you they are just three Latin words that you don't understand and probably don't even care about.  But to me, they are a way of life.  "She flies with her own wings." Simple but deep.  Words of power and grace, of wisdom and independence.  Words of freedom.  What does it mean to be free?  To me, it means living the life I want to live.  Being the person I want to be and not letting things into my life that are toxic.  Toxic, you know like those friends who pretend to like you and then stab you in the back.  Or those guys that say they love you and then suddenly say it's over.  None of that should exist in one's life.  That's why I'm starting fresh.  I'm eliminating all the bad in my life and moving towards a positive day.  I've had enough of feeling like I have to do what others expect of me and what others feel is right because you know what?  They don't know me.  They can't even begin to understand how I feel and what I've gone through.  But that's the past and this is now.  This is my time to be me.  My time to be free.  My time to fly.
